We are recruiting for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate must have a minimum of seven years of relevant experience, preferably in a legal or professional services firm and will be responsible for acting as the Clients & Markets (C&M) Lead and main point-of-contact for the Energy Group and select Priority Clients, helping key stakeholders strategize and execute on marketing and business development efforts. We are seeking an ideal candidate with a proven track record of developing and executing strategic initiatives, advancing business development and marketing priorities, and driving results. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter with strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively influence, guide, and support lawyers. This position can be based out of Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto or Montreal. Given the national scope of the Energy Group, the successful candidate will be required to travel to our other offices approximately once a month.

• Post-secondary degree in business, law, marketing or a related discipline.
• Minimum of seven years of relevant experience, preferably in a legal or professional services firm.
• Familiarity with or a strong interest in the energy sector—including oil and gas, energy transition, natural resources, and the associated regulatory landscape—is an asset.
• Strategic, out of the box thinker able to proactively devise new growth ideas
• Strong communication and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while completing designated tasks in a systematic and logical way.
• Driven to produce high quality deliverables and deliver top-notch client service with great attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and accommodate rush requests.
• Strong business writing skills.
• Familiarity with project management and process improvement principles.
