We are recruiting for a Training Manager for our Legal Support Services team to join our team in our Toronto office. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in training strategy and delivery within a professional services or legal environment and will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and evaluation of strategic learning initiatives tailored to the evolving needs of our Legal Support Services team. As a Training Manager, Legal Support Services, you will be:


Strategic Training Leadership

  • Designing and implementing a firm-wide LSS training strategy aligned with operational goals and HR learning frameworks.
  • Identifying existing and future training needs and developing scalable learning pathways for evolving LSS roles.
  • Leading change management training initiatives related to new technologies, workflows, or organizational changes.

Curriculum Development & Delivery

  • Developing and maintaining onboarding, technical, and professional development programs for the various roles within the LSS Department (e.g., Legal Assistants, Executive Assistants, Legal Administrative Assistants, and Document Specialists).
  • Coordinating and delivering live and virtual training sessions, including Lunch & Learns, role and practice-specific workshops, and leadership development modules.
  • Evaluating and updating training content to ensure relevance, accessibility, and effectiveness.

Team & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborating with HR’s Performance & Learning team, IT Training, LSS Managers, the Professional Journey Office, Team Leads, and other relevant Services Teams to ensure training meets evolving needs.
  • Liaising with Team Leads who will assist with practice-specific training and development of process improvements.
  • Communicating regularly with management and Team Leads to assess training impact and gather feedback.
  • Working collaboratively with the LSS team to identify areas for increased efficiency and drive process improvements, including through the adoption of technology and the development of best practices.

Learning Systems & Analytics

  • Leveraging platforms like Workday Learning and iManage to deliver, track, and report on training activities
  • Monitoring training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and analytics; recommend improvements based on data insights.

As our ideal candidate, you will distinguish yourself by the following profile:

  • Strong knowledge of legal support workflows and tools (e.g., iManage, Workday Learning, etc.) and excellent knowledge of the full Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to drive results and an aptitude for process improvement, and utilizing technology to improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Strong project and time management skills and ability to manage a variety of concurrent projects.
  • Completed post-secondary education in the areas of Curriculum Design/Delivery, Adult Learning or a related field or extensive relevant work experience required.
  • 5–7 years of experience in legal or professional services training, or corporate learning and development.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering adult learning programs.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and instructional design tools.
  • Experience in leading and implementing process improvement initiatives within and/or across service departments.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
